19" FFRR Alloys on Fleabay

These for sale,

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...1&rd=1

Suit D3 as I use for mud tyres (see below). If anyone else is buying for spares I'll buy one off you as long as they do not go for silly money) (i know of two others with this type of wheel).

Guys,
in my experience FFRR wheels don't fit a D3 - this cost me £100 to find out! Embarassed I'd be very interested to learn if I've got this wrong

No Choc ...we are talking about Full Fat Range Rover alloys. Prior to the revised model released in 2006 the wheels would not fit D3's for several reasons one being nuts and ISTR spacing was an issue too. '06 FFRR's fit without any complication. Wink

If you win i could pick them up as a sweetener so that you can sell me some of the vast collection you must have Question Wink

DSL, am I correct in thinking that the 7 spoke FFRR wheel (as per your picture above) is an "06 MY onwards design? In other words, this style of FFRR 19" wheel will always fit a D3.
Thanks.

Yep, 2006 onwards FFRR 19" wheels are fine on a D3. I use them with MTRs. See pics in my galleries.

FFRR Wheels

I am considering buying a set of second hand 19" FFRR Wheels, with Goodyear MTRs fitted. I am not sure what year they are from, but I do know they look like these:

The seller did tell me I will need different nuts than the standard Discovery 3 nuts, but he could supply them to me.

He confirms these wheels will fit the Disco3, but how can I be sure?

Thanks,
Klaas

those are the ealier ones, and did use different wheel nuts. I know a couple of folks have tried the earlier 18" alloys, and they foul the brake calipers. Not sure about the 19" though.

Its probably not worth it.
