Who has a Private Reg on their Disco?
Thinking of getting a personal plate for my Disco, just wondered how many of you guys have them and if its the rightkind of motor to stick one on?

if you mean a standard (current) rego that I chose & paid for... yes
If you mean one that, with a clever spacing of letters and different typo faces to make it look like some nickname ( ), then no - thought it was only BMW drivers (as opposed to owners) and chav ers that did that!

To clarify, all I meant was standard, as in the original and unaltered reg number it came with as opposed to personal plate that could have your initials on it or a non dating number etc...
You are dead right though about some of the chavvy dodgyly spaced altered and italicised number plates out there, go to laugh every time I see a souped up corsa with 6 huge exhausts and unreadable plate...pure class!!!

Hope I don't get kicked out of the group. Have 3 personalized license plates:
PIG JAGR for the LR3
MARKLIN for the BMW (mine) and
DORADA for the BMW (hers)
Jager is hunter in German so the plate is "pig hunter" (HNTR etc already taken)
Marklin is a reflection of my model train hobby and Dorada is an affectionate expression for my wife's skin color: Dorada means golden in Spanish.'06 LR3 4.4 V8 HSE Heavy Duty package, Satellite Radio, Luxury Package

Have J 80DSY at the mo, but that will be going when I change car to my D3 as it is useless on a two line plate.
Will go for something inspiring and original such as XX07 MUD.... Bodsys Brake Bible

Voted 'Personal' - I use my amateur radio callsign, with standard number plate spacing. This is unique to me worldwide and recognisable to those in the know. It will look even more appropriate once I have the antennas on the roof!GS Arctic Frost, Auto, Cruise, Roof Bars (for amateur/ham radio antennas), tow kit, side mouldings, folding mirrors, alpine roof....

Private Number Plate
8)
Yes I Have had on since my very Disco, now onto my 4th Disco.
My plate covers both our year's of birth and our name initials
652DJJ
The only problems are
1. my wife can't remember which way round it begins with
2. the extra cost of transferring from one veh to my next one - an extra £35
merry Christmas & a Happy new year
