Folding mirrors
Does anyone know if the mirrors on my 2006TDV6 HSE are mean't to fold? That is by the mirror control? I can dial up to make them dip in reverse, or adjust electrically, but my D2 HSE would fold inwards if I pressed the control downwards. Not so on this one.2006 HSE TDV6 Bonatti Grey, ECB bull bar, tropical roof, LG Next G car kit, Tom Tom GPS, UHF, Mitchell Bros tow bar, Kimberley Kamper Limited Edition camper trailer and 23 foot Haines Signature half cabin (Towed separately!)
mine on my HSE do this but the switch is marked appropriately, perhaps Aus spec is different.2007 HSE Java Black.....sold

It has a white square and inside this are four little arrows, up down and sideways. There is also a white piece attached to this for showing you to twist same.2006 HSE TDV6 Bonatti Grey, ECB bull bar, tropical roof, LG Next G car kit, Tom Tom GPS, UHF, Mitchell Bros tow bar, Kimberley Kamper Limited Edition camper trailer and 23 foot Haines Signature half cabin (Towed separately!)

Thanks gents, the pic shows that it is not there. My HSE D2 also had heated seats as well - not so this time!
(L/R must be cutting corners, we do need to fold mirrors in Oz as well!).2006 HSE TDV6 Bonatti Grey, ECB bull bar, tropical roof, LG Next G car kit, Tom Tom GPS, UHF, Mitchell Bros tow bar, Kimberley Kamper Limited Edition camper trailer and 23 foot Haines Signature half cabin (Towed separately!)

No electric folding mirrors in oz. Can't even have them on special orders. That was one of the main things I wanted as my current car has them and I find it very handy getting into the garage and parking really close to pillars in shopping centres. I have been told it can be done here aftermarket but may affect other electronics.
You probably need heated seats in Mudgee but not in Sydney. I also have heated seats and have been tempted to disconnect them as I have often accidently had the heat on (usually on 40 deg summer days) and wondered why the a/c is not working properly.

I also noticed the mirrors don't fold in very much. My current car's mirrors fold really flat against the car. Do the mirrors fold better on older discos and are they different in overseas models
Mine automatically fold flat! Usually when they hit trees!Have a nice day!

My folding mirrors that were on the D2 were excellent and I have already replaced the left hand glass ($220.00) on the D3 and was told by the dealer "don't bust the main part of the mirror what ever you do". I wasn't game to ask him the price! Re the heated seats. In the D2 these were the first time I had had them and couldn't get over how good they were on a cold Mudgee morning.2006 HSE TDV6 Bonatti Grey, ECB bull bar, tropical roof, LG Next G car kit, Tom Tom GPS, UHF, Mitchell Bros tow bar, Kimberley Kamper Limited Edition camper trailer and 23 foot Haines Signature half cabin (Towed separately!)

Glass is only around £25 / €35 over here - I wonder why the big difference?
As for the folding mirrors, they don't fold that much, not nearly as much as they did on the D2. The electric folding ones don't fold any more than the manual folding ones.IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver
