The tow electrics are easily fitted as a DIY job in under an hour, they run into the cubby behind the n/s rear wheel where they connect up to pre wired plugs - Don't waste money at a dealers getting this done, and get a decent LR tow bar off ebay at much reduced prices - electrics can be sourced from TLO who is parts God at Yeovil LR and one of the Site Sponsors.
The contact details for TLO (Nick) can be found hereI believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

It's relatively easy, I fitted mine last weekend. The kit comes with instructions which are easy to follow, but you'll get lots of advice from the forum if you run into any problems. If you search towbar electrics there are many threads on the subject. As SJR suggested, get a price from The Large One and look for towbar on ebay.As you slide down the banister of life

DIY is fine, but I thought you then had to hook the car up to a main dealer comp to re-configure the air- suss.

Think the dealer visit is to ensure the air-suss doesn't go to offroad when you have a tintent or trailer attached, also disables the rear pdc (if you have them) when trailer attached so it they dont beep all the time when you reverse. Fitting OEM electrics is easy and remember to use a plastic spatula to gently lever rear nearside light cluster off.Club RLD spare wheel protection

I think an hour is pushing it unless you have little hands. I don't & it took me over 3 hoursRichard
I've got little hands and it still took me about 3 hours! As you slide down the banister of life

I'd rather take 3 hours doing it than pay the local Stealer about £100 to do the same job ...Regards,

Caravan Electrics
Just bought genuine LandRover electrics for the caravan charger without instructions off Ebay, does any one have some or can anyone tell me where they plug in?

I installed the electrics on my car about 2 weeks ago. Took me about an hour and if I can do it then anyone can. Bit of a messy job with the wires under the car and getting them in place but otherwise its easy.

Just had mine done and I think you do have to get the vehicle on a diagnostics system as Mollers said or they wont work correctly."UNDERSTEER" ---is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" ------is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" -is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" ------------is how far you take the fence with you.

From what i remember from what i have read, having it 'enabled' by the dealer or other suitably equipped person, only involves the disabling of rear PDC and suspension height change when it detects a trailer electrics plugged in. It's nice rather than essential to have it done as the PDC can be disabled on the switch and the suspension is manually activated anyway, so just do not touch I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

Got my electrics done at a local specialist. My advice would be buy the towbar off ebay - I bought new and wish i'd saved £100 minimum and bought off ebay. As long as it's got the keys there's very little to be concerned about other than some extreme damage or mis-use.
Summary. Auto height changes when in low ratio and selecting TR modes such as Rock Crawl. Are dealer disabled when trailer electrics in use. This doesn't happen in high ratio anyway . . ."To finish first, one first has to finish ...."
