^^ thats no good - that one converts 13pin to 12S and 12N - the OP want to get rid of 12S and 12N and go to 13pin

It was just meant as an example as they are cheaper in Halfords. You can get them second hand genuine for £5 to 10. Or Ring, new for £10. You can’t really get the parts for that cost. 012MY RRS 5.0 Supercharged Autobiography (Current)

^^ but its the example thats wrong as it converts 13pin to 2 sockets, whereas the OP wants rid of the 2 sockets and just have a 13pin.
Its very easy to do (I did it on my D4) but the issue the OP has is he disconnected all the wires without marking up which pins they came from in the 12S and 12N sockets. If he had, it wouldnt matter what the wire colours were, as he could have just used the diag I provide to reconnect them in the 13Pin socket.
His issue is the wire colouring and what pins these should go to.

Managed to sort out the tow-bar electrics !  I did notice that someone else had the same color cable issue . So if anyone else has this problem converting 12N and 12S to 13 pin and you find these colors on the 12S plug ; Pink/Blue , Yellow/Brown , Red/White , White (marked 7) , White (marked 3) , this is what there for and the pins they go to . Pink/Blue = Permanent + 12 volt supply to pin 9 . Yellow/Brown = Reversing Light to pin 8 . Red/White = Ignition Switched + 12 volt supply to pin 10 . White (marked 7) = Earth return for pin 10 to pin 11 . Last , White(marked 3) = Earth return for pin 9 to pin 13 . Made a light tester to check each one ! Amazing what you can do at 73 , retired and have the time  Hope it helps .
