Towing electrics fitted = fast indicators

Hi All,

I fitted genuine LR 13 pin towing electrics on Saturday, was a pretty straightforward job just took a while as I didn't want to break anything (plus it was sunny outside and a good excuse for some peace).
The only thing is that when I checked the lights with the bike carrier plugged in, the indicators seemed much faster than normal. The green trailer symbol comes on and all the other lights work normally.

Anyone know what may have caused this, or is it normal?

Thanks in advance
Kev

I'd like to say yes, but my darling wife was checking them so can't be sure she was paying too much attention Confused

sounds like a bulb out on the trailer, or poor connection to one of the indicators. Stick the hazards on and see. We had a similar issue and it turns out Mrs A wasn't pushing the connector into the car socket far enough - needed a bit of welly!

Have you had the electrics enabled in the car CCF file - bizarre, but it needs to be done! Can't remember what happens if the car doesn't recognise the electrics - may do what yours is! Someone who knows will be along soon.....

I thought the ccf edit for the towing electrics just disabled the parking sensors when you are towing.

MY08 D3 XS Java Black - gone

So I figured out why it was happening, the lead for the electrics of the bike carrier was pinched tightly in the frame Embarassed . Oh well at least it's all working thanks again for the ideas.
