Handbook tells you how to program key fob, when using it for suspension, you have to turn the hazards on as well

Hi madrunner you got that 30 minute time down pretty good , although i must say ours isnt far behind apart from putting awning up which takes about 45 minutes , my van is a 2010 bailey olympus 525 we love it , this is actually our first caravan but have been on three trips already, i was towing with an 05 freelander before which was actually a good tow untill it hit a slope.
I am going to try packing more stuff into the car this time and changing the tyre pressures, what van do you tow and do you have the fixed or removable towbar?

On manuals ALWAYS use low ratio when manouvering, hill starts etc. as the clutches don't like heavy punishment.
Also 1st gear high ratio is not that low a gear.
Also if you are boarding a ferry use low ratio as the traffic is sure to stop as you are going up the ramp.
Low ratio is there to be used so why not use it?
Remember you can change from low to high "on the move" once you have got started.
I came across a chap with another (non-LR) 4x4 reversing his caravan up a slope, the clutch was burning - the stink was awful. I said "why don't you use low ratio" he replied "I never thought of that".
