Towing Mirrors on Chrome Mirror Caps
I'm waiting for my D4 to be built - hopefully end of October but I was just having some thoughts about the chrome mirror caps I have asked the dealer to fit (yes I know - too much bling).
Will I still be able to attach my Milenco towing mirrors to the top of the Landy's wing mirror, and if not, will I have a problem with vibration if I attach them at the bottom ?

I have chrome mirror covers fitted to my mirrors and have the milenco towing mirrors also. What i found fitting to the top of the mirrors is that the clamp struggles to grip due to the inside faces of the clamp tapering the same way as the top of the mirror. I applied a thin self adhesive rubber tape to the clamping faces of the towing mirror and it now grips perfectly.
I believe Milenco should actually take note and think about coating the metal clamp with a more rubbery material as it would reduce the amount of tightening and the risk of damage or losing the towing mirror.
So far have not lost one yet!

I have Milenco Aero mirrors and also chrome mirror covers, and I fit the mirror clamps to the bottom (like Wiljo), with no problems or vibration.
I also prefer to angle the mirrors vertically (with the pointy bit downwards) as they are plenty wide enough like that and it also gives a better view of my caravan sides from the very top down to the wheels.
