After tracking_Suspension Problems |
|
Got the Disco tracked today after Lunch. while driving home after about 10miles i got this bong noise followed by notice "HDC Fault suspension lowering" & few lights came on hdc. Tried to raise suspension but would not allow me to, so pulled over and turned off engine and restarted with the and no light on in the dash, raised suspension to normal height and off i went again. not far from home then, about another 10-15 miles same thing happened again suspension lowered and followed by all the above.. any body any comments on this or had similar situation, is it pointless in going back to place where got tracking done. had no problems before today.
cheers

Disconnected hub sensor? Edit or it could be simple as they had radio on for ages and ran battery down a bit. Not a lot of charge in battery does it.(i only know through reading the forum) Am sure sombody will give more detailed answer when everyone gets back on here after tea

i think the brake pedal is applied during the tracking procedure
so wouldnt make a harm to check and clean the brake pedal switch
check if have brake lights if the whole thing is happening

If you see this thread

About halfway down cornishboy states a fault that linked bad tracking to HDC / suspension height problem. So it seems your tracking may well be the cause.

cheers Iain G.
Place where i got it tracked on sat had done it before with no issues. how would tracking cause such problems as the suspension lowering and no special programmes being available!
Is there any point in going to a dealer or should i get a second opinion on the tracking, peoples thoughts..

Common fault which causes this is also the brake pedal switch.
I always had mine aligned at LR dealership.

the procedure itself should not affect the car in the way described by u
it has nothing to do with tracking itself
never answered if checked the brake pedal switch???
hdc an special programs are corelated so no wonder they come on on dash together
computer diagnostics will give u the anser no doubt,
but ur description dose not look like hight sensor, maybe SAS needs recalibration

I will vouch for my post that was mentioned above.
I had the same issue and it was the tracking soooooo far out!!!!!!
Get it redone - they should do it free.
