Looking to add a space heater to my expedition trailer for off-grid occasions and wonder if anyone has experience of any of the following units:
Eberspacher Airtronic D2
Webasto Air Top 2000
Propex HS2000
The Propex might be the easiest to install as it'll work off the butane/propane gas canisters. The others are diesel so will require a tank, something the trailer doesn't have...apart from somewhere externally to mount a jerry can!
Failing the above, what other off-grid solutions might there be?

Just a heads up if you buy a second hand Eberspacher, make sure it’s got the clothe wrapping on the ECU plug as this means it has the newer type ECU which is more robust than the ones with the shiny black plastic insulation cover.Club Exped trailer

We use the Eberspacher D2 Airtronics, don’t give us any trouble, similar the the FBH on the Disco, when it starts to smoke it needs a service.
Run them all night on a thermostat, uses 2 to 3 litres of diesel per night depending on how cold it is, battery usage doesn’t give up us any problems, but we don’t run them parked for more than two days. Battery conservation is better than the older versions as they slow down as they reach full temperature over four stages until they shut down all together where as the old units just heated up to temperature then shut down again so the constant heating up of the glow plug ate the battery.

Had eberspacher in my first trailer .. and propex in my second
Both heat about the same .. I'd say eberspacher slightly noisier.
Propex less hassle as I carry gas anyway G4 Gone ...but not forgotten
Beanie: how much gas do you reckon the prospex uses?Front Runner Rack, OEM Ladder & RAI, Tuff-Trek Foxwing, B'rakhah Ingonyama Expedition Trailer, RLD's Spare Wheel Protector, Bodsy's Bars, Empty Pockets! Member of Gloucestershire & Worcestershire 4x4 Response.
They sell upwards of £450 normally but this one's £249.00.Front Runner Rack, OEM Ladder & RAI, Tuff-Trek Foxwing, B'rakhah Ingonyama Expedition Trailer, RLD's Spare Wheel Protector, Bodsy's Bars, Empty Pockets! Member of Gloucestershire & Worcestershire 4x4 Response.

Much cheapness, but seller has zero feedback so sounds a bit iffy

Propex are fine been working with them for nearly 30years now mainly on motor homes, horse boxes and home developed camping trailers, like all these appliances they are voltage sensitive, the only problem I have had over the years is PCB failure usually on the ignition side and in my opinion because the installers haven’t followed the installation instructions and boxed them in to much so they are operating without enough cooling air around the unit itself.

I asked a similar question for my sankey.
While the propex would have been simpler, I found them quite expensive even second had.
I picked up a Eberspacher D2 for decent money, just cannot decide how is best to mount and route the exhaust.
