I suspect you are actually changing the TCCM (transfer case control module), as the TCM (transmission control module) is inside the transmission and VIN coded to your car. TCMs are a lot more fuss to access and cannot be readily swapped. Motolab is suggesting the check the mechatronix connector which attaches to the TCM behind the transmission. I had a ground wire in my mechatronix plug fail last fall and it produced all number of Lost Comm Faults (U-Codes). The ground wire failure was that the wire was never properly seated in the deutsche connector (probably from the factory) and quite literally fell out of the plug. It didn’t present as an issue for 15 years until I did a transmission service last summer and was likely the first person to touch that connector since it left the factory.

Anyway, confirm you’ve looked at the TCM connector re: motolab, it seems like your main fault codes are coming from that.

Put the charged battery back in, as well as another TCM, still have the error.

Did all the calibrations available through the IID Tool, Clutch, XY and whatever the other one is!

MAF Sensor gives a live value when idling of 0 g/s 'Mass air flow senor A single frewuency'

Hi buddy

Great those readings came back ok, However on tickover for the Maf I got around 17 gs , does it change at all as the revs increase , ie 2,000 revs plse

Did happen to find some tests I also done

Disconnect the MAF , meter onto Vdc , Turn the ignition on. Measure the voltage on pin 3 in the female connector. , other probe to ground

Turn the ignition on. Meter onto Vdc , Measure the voltage on pin 4. Other probe to ground

However I know the other guys are extremely knowledgeable

If you have a transmission fault, the TCM is likely involved, yes i did read you changed it, BUT did you check ALL the little connectors inside the bigger 2 plugs?

The TCM is mounted in a place prone to have water ingress… and the connectors are easy corroded or bent easy… cleaning them inside is rather difficult… but corrosion needs to be removed and the tension on the plugs need to be enough to make good contact….

Yes i know it is a disaster to work there, battery in and out and in and …..

Thanks Motolab,

I thought I did, but perhaps it'll pay dividend to check properly again!!

Also found this thread, so I'll be reading through this carefully, mentions the connections discussed earlier
