How old is the DMF ( dual mass flywheel ) ? , that could be shot, worn or broken springs, allowing it to clank one way or the other instead of being supported correctly.

Don't know when the DMF was or if has been changed. It looks like a gearbox out job then Censored

It’s probably the original DMF and clutch. Get another opinion though before taking the g/box off. Thumbs Up

Hard to be sure from your video but I’ve had a similar noise and it was a failing CV joint on the front prop. I’ve had it twice actually, aftermarket front prop lasted a measly 30k miles whereas the original did 220k…

I have tried changing front prop but noise still there, would the cv still be noisy when clutch is depressed? mine goes quiet when clutch is depressed.

Yep would only make the noise under power and even then not always. The rear prop also has the same joints in the middle and front as food for thought but isn’t a cheap part to play parts darts with.

The difficult part is neither failed prop would really show any real wear when inspected off the car but was noisy as Censored when driven.
