'Transmission Overheat Slow Down 'Message , No drive . Help!

Just had to abandon my car ! Its lost drive after the above message appeared on the dash.

do you think its just a case of leaving it for a while to cool down or more serious

By the way its an 09 SE Auto

could the cooler be clogged with snow?

If so where will i find it?

Thanks in anticipation of any help

TA

could be a punctured transmission oil cooler causing fluid loss - any signs of oil loss around the front of the vehicle?

Had a quick look before i walked back home, couldnt see anything obvious, but it had snowed and I had managed to drive it about 50yds into a nearby pub car park before it packed up completely.
Will wait and see what the man say tommorrow!
