Transmission slips into neutral

For some weeks I have experienced this problem.

TDV6 HSE automatic.

Drive transmission slips into neutral and after a prolonged occurence the 'D' indicator goes blank in the 4 x 4 display.

Usually occurs:
a) at junctions after braking
b) on inclines
c) when turning/altering direction of travel
Rev counter drops to tick-over setting

One suggestions is lack of transmission oil and computer selects neutral

Anyone have experience of this ?

As Mikey says, it's the selector that's out of whack. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

There is a Tech. bulletin about it, so the dealer should be aware of what is needed

My 06 HSE has now developed this fault.

Does anyone happen to know the tech bulletin number? 'Ner Ner' Bonatti HSE... Ah yes, a vintage colour!

I need to get this one sorted before I deploy.
