Trim removal around inside of rear D4 screen

Does anyone know how the plastic trims come off around the inside of the rear screen top?

When I use my rear washer some water runs down the inside of the glass, looks like could be a leak coming from the pipe to the jet behind the trim.

Thanks.

Have you tried this method with yours Ent?

Tried a bit of a pull but seems as though something is gonna snap if I pull any harder.

Just to make sure we are talking about the same bit of trim, it is the plastic bit with the boot light in? If so it is a straight pull down. I'll go out in a bit and do mine as its been off about a dozen times.

Thanks Ent, no light in this piece of trim.

it is black in colour an goes across nearly the full width of the rear lift door door at the top between the frame and the glass on the inside.

Can spring it away from the glass but is anchored pretty solid at the edge with fits against the frame.

it locates against the two side vertical side pieces of black trim.

No visible screw(s) just plain piece of trim about 3ft wide and 4" or so deep has a couple of formed lips on it about 1" wide on the glass edge side.

Thanks Wiggs, the trim I was talking of is at the opposite edge to where the lock is i.e. up by the top hinges.

Anyhow thanks Ent, have now done it.

The clips were 'push snap in' rather than the 'keyhole slide out' type.

Was trying to slide the trim off rather than straight outward pulling.

Have a history of using too much muscle,  usually with costly consequences!

Water pipe had just slid slightly off a connector slightly which was where the leak had sprung.
