HI everyone
We are planning a trip to Oman with a bit of offroading and camping along the coast.
I don't know if the stock navigation system will be enough or if I should get a proper Garmin GPS? and if I do, what is the best one to get here in Dubai?
any advice would be most welcome.

Have a look at me4x4.com / fuelstop forums / navigation - you should be able to find something of interest there. Also, there are lots of down loadable Oman waypoints.
Whilst you're at it - why not become a member and join us for trips into the desert - daytrips and over nighters.
