I have bought a DTS box, what I am stuck on is removing the plug from the rear connector to connect the box, My car is 54 Disco 3,
Is there a tool to remove the 3 wire connector?
Cheers

I think Pete at BAS is just miffed you didnt buy one of his reassuringly expensive remaps
Anyway, happy to help....the 3 pin connector is unfortunately upside down so you cannot get to the release clip.....all you need to do is get a wire coat hanger and 'hook' the release clip then gently pull the connector backwards towards the windscreen....it's easy after that

OK my comment may have been a bit harsh and possibily even unprofesional but you have got me all wrong m8.
Its not about why didnt he buy my map at all, its more to the point of why did he buy one of those reassuringly expencive tuning plug in boxes when you can make them for no more than 5 quid.
I think the % proffit made in plug in boxes far far exceds the profit % from a real remap, just look on the farnells web site for the prices of the components for your self and work out how much they actually cost to make.
Hey and if you fancy here is the pcb layout and the diagram, if you do end up making one ill even send you the pinouts for it

Okay Pal, tell us all the reasoning behind this tosh comment. And while you are at it would you care to explain how a gadget that fools the fuel rail to over pressurise the injection system is a cheaper version of a remap.
We have seen these toys come n go, and probably the above comment is unfounded as you have'nt tried a Tune or Remap.
Your choices guys, but when it norzes up, TLO will sell you the parts to rectify something a cheapo toy ruined.
I thank you

Jason,
You're over-reacting. PeteJ put a whistle to show he wasn't serious (and also answered the OP's question). Pete Bell saw the humour and responded appropriately; I don't think he needs the Bell Defence Squad tonight.Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana
