Tuning the Radio
Hi,
Just undertook delivery of my D3. There might be a simple answer to this question.
When manually tuning the radio the display goes up in steps of two in odd numbers when the button is pressed. For example 97.1, 97.3, 97.5...... etc.
I have looked at the manual but it does not state anything for the radio to be tuned in single digits. Most of the stations here in Dubai are frequencies with even numbers (for example 104.8) which I cannot get manually. The radio also misses these even numbered frequencies when I use auto store.
Maybe I am missing the obvious but any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Graeme

Different countries and different markets use different broadcast frequencies. Your head unit is set up for a different market. I don't know how easy, or possible, it is to get it set up for your local broadcast system.Discovery 3 2.7 V6 TDi | Manual | S spec | Zermatt Silver | 2006 | 20% tints to rear | Audio Connectivity Module | Nokia CK-15W car kit | | Xenons | Disco 4 LED rear lights

Off the top of my head, odds are what the USA uses.
I wonder if it's possible to hook up IDS and change the region of the car? I can't imagine the head units are different, though anything is possible I guess!IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver

You can check yourself ...you can also change the country ..however when you turn the car off it will revert back to the one stored in the car config file
Heres how
NOTE:
Head unit is assumed to be in OFF condition
• Press ON/OFF button.
• Within 5 seconds press and hold the ENTER button (round one on right hand side) for 10 seconds to access the menu.
• Turn the enter button to the desired menu (3 of them )
• Press a number on the keypad to represent the one you want to change.
• Repediatly pressing this keypad number with scroll through the values .
Exiting the hidden menus can be achieved at any time by pressing the ON/OFF button.
so you press number 5 on the keypad ...once for USA again for Japan again for Austrailia ..etc etc
Note ...when you change the settings on number 5 ( regions ) it will loose all your saved radio stations
Number 5 on here shows i changed it from USA to JAPAN
