<moderator head on>

Have to disagree with you there Si, I think members are just expressing their opinions here. Nobody is trying to force TC into anything, it's entirely his choice and this thread will just help him and other suppliers (which have been mentioned a little) to gauge how much interest there would be in a group buy. To expect a 50% discount is a bit ridiculous but bulk buy discounts are a common thing and it never hurts to ask

<moderator head off>

No doubt we'll hear from TC, JEE and any others soon enough if they're willing to offer a group discount

Just expressing mine too mate Wink Just they differ is all...

Sheep

cool... but ask privately then announce a deal on the forum, not canvas here and attempt to 'force' the discount.

Just think its the wrong way to do it.

Anyway... pointless thread so consider my hat and coat on... oh and the manufacturers were mentioned by me. This thread is clearly aimed at one manufacturer not all of them. And as I said, I believe this is because Chris takes an active part and answers most things when asked and advises on others when he really has no need to.

Cheers

I am sure TC would reply if there was anything sensible to say...!!!

In short what I think we've seen here is an offer by TC for a group discount that would reflect the ability to do more than 1 vehicle in just 1 location.

I reckon that would be reasonable value given the results I've had from mine and IMO the standard cost of this is not that outrageous anyhow.

I'd welcome any of the other performance companies (JE,SC etc) to step up to the plate in the same manner as TC has, and offer the forum a 'package' so that members can weigh up the pro's and cons of each and thus perhaps benefit further from being a forum member.

Martin could then 'sticky' these offers in this forum or create another 'forum members discount' thread within the marketplace where all such offers from spare parts, accessories, vehicles or re-mapping could be listed.

Great value for the forum, and volume business for the firm involved...

Off Topic All I could offer from our business (some bits subject to volume) are:

Hand and surface cleaning wipes (General & Hospital type - impregnated) - quite handy..!

Packs (built to order) for any thing clinical (cotton wool balls and wound cleaning - right the way through to an operating pack with drapes, gowns, gloves and even single use metal surgical instruments).

Surgical Instruments - including 'scopes - useful for looking inside engines!

We occasionally get to the point where we are writing off stock of items as we bring in a new line - and these may just need a good home... so if anyone has a 'pet' medical charity that would benefit from these things - let me know.

Regards,

Muddy

Maybe we should have a pole that asks members what discount they have managed to get in the High Street on all manner of goods?

I've never managed more than 10% and that was in Comet with a display model tv.

Here's a site that might help. Wink

http://www.ukhotdeals.com/vouchers.php

Essentially they just collate the special offer and discount codes from various web sites and list them. (Including some big high street names).

I have used it in the past to pick up some quite good online deals. Not that I'm sceptical, but I always test it by getting as far a the payment page, noting the price and going back to enter the voucher code to confim that the discount has been taken off.

It is free to use and if you provide an email address they update you with new deals as they come available which is useful as some are time limited.

Well worth a look.

(Note: I do not have any connection with the site other than having used it in the past.)

Now, now chaps...let's not fall out.....back to the issue in hand.

I am willing to offer a group buy discount but the price would be based on numbers and location.

So can we have an idea of numbers? Any member expecting 50% or anywhere near that figure will be disappointed

Form a queue and no pushing Wink
