TPMS batteries normally last around 10 years so if you are planning on keeping the Disco for a while it would make sense to get them changed whilst the tyres are off the rims

I was under the impression that a depleted TPMS battery can’t be exchanged, so the entire sensor must be replaced.
Am I incorrect?
If batteries can be replaced can someone point me to where they can be bought.

NJSS I just enquired and yes it seems you need to replace the whole unit been quoted £80.00 a wheel ( sales pitch maybe ? ) I have been informed the fitter can scan and find the battery life left, After market are £49.00 for four so maybe that's the route to go.If the battery fails I am assuming the vehicle will still be drivable and not go into limp mode as they seem to go to limp mode for just about anything.

Googling "Genuine JLR TPMS valves" throws up a number of solutions.
You need to be careful as I believe that there are two different types of TPMS valves used by JLR, I think 315mhz and 433mhz.
I suggest that you might expect to pay £25 each - don't forget your spare wheel, if it is full-sized.
Someone with more knowledge than I will no doubt be able to help.

My car is a March 2016 Landmark, and I see that I have 433mhz. sensors fitted - Part number LR070840.
Worth doing a Google search for this part number.

Tyre fitter ( I spoke to him ) say average time for replacement ten years so I think I will hold back a bit,the four quality tyres are enough expense right now.

If you are having the tyres fitted at home, take a look to see which brand that Landrover have fitted to your car whilst the fitter has the tyres off. Take a couple of pictures. I'm guessing Continental/VDO.
Wouldn't expect to pay anymore than £25 each for these. Mitsubishi Outlander Phev 4H 2018.
