Tyre Pressure Monitoring System - USB PC
While waiting for my Sat nav screen interface to be sorted , my TPMS arrived today from the good old US of A .
Nice piece of kit and well made...it warns you of low pressure , over pressure , tyre temperature and the battery level of the sensors
This is what you get in the standard 5 sensor kit ( you can just get a 4 sensor kit)
I ordered an extra 4 sensors for my off road tyres and a usb circuit board
Sensors
Valves
Valve fitted to one of my off road wheels
This is the display that come with the kit
Of course i diddn't want that so it has been taken to pieces
The receiver has been cut off the board and fitted to a small circuit board which converts the signals to a USB output.
You can leave the board on the original display and connect wires from that , but i diddn't want to have another display cluttering up dashboard.
As im still waiting for my sat nav interface , i had to connect my pc up to my sat nav screen via a basic composite lead.Obviously the picture is not brill , but you can get the jist of what it does.
Centrafuse with tpms
Programming page for sensors..you can set the thresholds of the sensors here ..low pressure warnings ..high pressure warnings , high temperature...
Another screen choice ..( note iphone quality ..thats what my screen should look like)
If you get a warning it will bring a warning screen and a sound notification.Dosen't matter what you have on the screen the warning will pop up

I think a TPMS on a caravan is a great idea ... advanced warning if your tyres getting warm and about to pop
I just need to learn how to "skin" now so i can change the car picture to this

Thanks CW,
But with the little ozi battler doing so well the price from the US may be very good. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Purchased through a group buy on another forum , but prices in US $
Main kit ( 5 sensors) $140
Extra sensors $18 each
USB circuit board and programmed chip $70
Shipping and the dreaded customs man about $60
Total $342 ....
In UK pounds about £170 ...would of been a better bargain without shipping costs and import tax but i stil think thats quite good considering its monitoring 9 wheels.
