Looking around for wheels and tyres, I see a world of difference between UK and the ROW... as an example, the Cooper Discoverer STT 265/70R17
The MRSP in the US is at around 225$ with discounters going down to 187$ (I suppose without any service..)
In Belgium, the observed pricing is at around 195 € (but fitted on your wheel)
and in the UK, it looks like it is a 100£-ish per tyre...
These make quite a significant difference....
Are the profit margins so important on those tyres so that merchant can afford make 30-40% discounts without jeopardizing profits or some manufacturers pricing poilicy in in this case, why don't we see more cross border business ? A second D3 ! This time with all whistles and bells (Auto, 7seats, Diff Lock, RAI, all kinds of protections, winch, Extended range tank, iPod adapter....)
First time twice the same car ! and first time third car of the same brand !

We're all far too used to $1=£1 for electricals, even when the banks said $2=£1 - and I haven't been brave enough to look since it moved to $1.40-something - so I'm quite sure you've got these figures wrong. It's just not possible that something's actually cheapest in the UK...

No I'm not converting the costs actually but more looking at the MRSP's... and strangely enough, the GBP has become really affordable.... when will be the day when French people will go to Cornwall to buy some nice cottages from relatively poorer english peasants ? ;+) A second D3 !
