Tyres 4x4 v Standard

Yesterday my self and few friends spent the day checking out and clearing the tracks at the Boughrood 4x4 course. SONIC 3D came along with his D3 to assist.
His car has standard tyres on and mine has the Goodyear MT/R's. We drove some very muddy steep tracks and his car followed mine with ease.
If any one is thinking of buying 4x4 tyres for normal lane use don’t bother the D3 does not need them.
Having said that I will replace my MT/R's with another set, due to the high mileage they return.
In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Andrew

How do the MT/R's perform on wet and dry tarmac?

They are noisy, under normal driving conditions there is no difference in handling. I think that you would have to push the car to extremes to notice any difference.
