U0101-87 Lost comms with TCM fault code.
Amber park brake light on the dash, fault code says it is U0101-87 Lost communication with transmission control module. Bus signal/message failure blah blah blah....
Reset the XY sensor dash light goes off, drive 100 metres, comes back on...
The only other error code I have is B1D17-87-Bus circuit-Bus signal message failure (Body Control)
I'm thinking the two might be related somehow as they both mention 'Bus signal'..?
Has anyone got any suggestions before I go underneath?
I adjusted the PB in December and give it all a good clean up.

Transfer case calibration.
Especially if the gear shift indicator display has smaller numeral for the selected gear!yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Well I've worked out what the other fault is, B1D17-87, it's the super quiet volvo alarm sounder I disconnected.
However I won't be reconnecting it.

The lost comms with TCM, error code, is possibly due to the two-and-a-half-year-old battery leaking, and only charging at 13.9v and at best 14.1v.
Going to order a new one, or nip to Halfrauds tomorrow and grab a new one...fit it and see if that corrects the fault.

Those voltage readings are perfectly normal, it will adjust the charge according to load.

Agreed, "Brian" has always read 14.2 so when it was dropping to 13.9 on tickover it warranted a closer look, which is when I found that it was leaking.
Rather than wait for it to fail at a critical moment it was just easier to replace it and be done, ruling out the most obvious.
That said, it hasn't rectified the error code, but it has thrown up two new ones!!
Transfer case, P174C-00 Gearshift Y position sensor circuit low (28).
And.....
P2806-00 Transmission range sensor alignment (28).
I'm going to take Brian for a longer run tomorrow get the battery fully up to charge and check the error codes again.
I've reset the XY sensor when I have cleared the error codes, the gear indicator is slow but does register eventually. So I know there's something not Happy...
I think it might be a trip to see my local(ish) indy, I'll give him a bell tomorrow and see if he can suggest anything...
