UK Sat Nav - coverage in France and Catalunya

Almost certainly doing a run down through France into Catalunya in August - just wondered what the coverage of the UK Sat Nav Disc is in those areas? I think mine is an 07/08 Disc. Anyone care to comment?

I don't have experience in that direction but if I see what it gives in Northen France, Belgium, Germany, Austria and Switzerland I wouldn't worry.

It'll be fine Steve, it's the same release for all of Western Europe, though you might want to get the latest edition though as ISTR the last one had a lot of updates for Spain (presumably including Catalonia)

Hi Steve,

I live in Catalunya, and I think that's just the DVD I have... It's all ok (except the logical changes due to new roads, ...). Sometimes it wants you to use another road than you wouldn't, but... Whistle

You have choosen a great place to go Thumbs Up (Good weather, good food, good drinks, good people, charming mountains and better beaches...! Thumbs Up

David.

a question - on the return leg I'm trying to work out how far north I need to get to in France before pulling over for the night so that I can hit the Chunnel at a decent time to leave me with the 4.5 hour run in the UK

anyone any recommendations?

going out is straightforwards - 6AM start - Chunnel booking 10am-12pm and then get down to Vierzon/Bourges (about 60mi south of Orleans and half way) - coming back, I don't want to have to get up SO early to come home, hence the question...

Whistle Whistle I'll be just north of you around the end of July/beginning of August.....(L'Ametlla de Mar).

There's a couple of guys from the Spanish forum who'll also be in the area on holiday 8)

It would be cool to meet up if the dates coincide Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

JF - I guess you'll be just up the road from Barcelona again this year won't you? (Was it Premià de Mar?) PM me with the approximate dates just in case we can arrange something Thumbs Up

Close - Villasar de Mar / Cabrils. I'll be there from the last week of August through to mid-September (about 3 weeks in total).

I'll definately drop you a PM with more details. Maybe we can arrange a meet and a day out somewhere...? Thumbs Up

Got back yesterday from St Tropez. We stopped Sat night just outside of Paris (Massy ISTR) then drove from there to the chunnel for a 12:30 crossing. Would've been home to Solihull by approx 15:30 apart from the highways agency closing 2 lanes of the M40 at Junction 1, due to some pot holes being found.

On the way down we stopped at Dijon - which was a fair way into France. Got into the Cote D'Azure and it was 30 degrees 8)
