Updating modules?
After doing a check with the Iid tool it states there are 12 modules that can be updated with later versions of firmware!
Does this mean the Iid tool can do this as it is without loading or buying these updates?
As I am happy with everything as it is apart from SStart not working(no fault lights showing) and I don’t know which module operates it, is it worth doing the upgrades?-i.e.risk involved. It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

The latest firmware is available on the GAP site, Like you, I understand there is a risk of rendering a vehicle unusable! There is no cost associated that I am aware of, but you need to log into your account to download the firmware.
It would be interesting to know if anyone has had an issue after flashing, and the outcome!yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

There is a small charge. I think it’s about £25 but there is a couple free like the bcm and compressor.

Nope, but that’s only because I follow Narpy’s notion. But I wouldn’t hesitate if I needed it knowing the support from Gap.

Hi
My turbo actuator didn’t have the self motor test when the landy was turned on and off to prevent it from sticking
I did update that module using the iid, did cost £25 and had no problems what so ever
Indeed I also wouldn’t have any hesitation of updating any other module if needed due to the fantastic backup service from Pat at Gap
Did do the 07 update as well when I first got my iid, next one I’ll do will be the California stop update , it will cost £25 but feel that’s a bargain considering Gap has taken the time to write a totally new code
Before I done that turbo update I had to send over my module details so they knew what software I had
Wouldn’t hesitate with other updates from Gap

This is for an MY14 with Stopstart which has never worked, there is a update for keyless locking for instance, another for hvac, gearbox, etc.
I have used the GAP fast track service before on the D3 without problems, the question I am asking is; am I missing something like the three flash indicators on the D3 or better security on the keyless entry? My way of thinking the software update hasn’t been done without good reason and is technically part of a main dealer service.
The Iid tool returns a search of 12 updates available, I guess the simplest way is to try and update one module as it is and see what the result is.It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Is the Californian stop update available now? This would be something I'd like to do if it isn't to hard..?

Yes, that’s the one I updated, it was £25 and you can access it from the GAP website, you will need your vin number as they are vehicle specific, very good service you will receive in within 24 hours, not guaranteed to cure it though, it does contain other improvements in the gear change besides the California stop.It can when others can't,

SS is going to be your main battery issues
I was happy for it not to work til main battery dies in cold last Dec
now SS works the charm (also replaced ssecondary batt which only held 10.8V)
I would be interested in software updates as well on my bus but reading recovery procedure I would not take it on myself

I have fitted a new small battery, main battery although original is showing all good, checked it numerous times and always shows over 12.7 volts, good thing I don’t get any fault lights on, I did when the small battery failed.
Nothing to be afraid of with the upgrade, it takes about 1 minute to install it, the gear changes are smoother, cruise control works far smoother on change down, no more taking off like a rocket on hills and hopefully Cstop gone.It can when others can't,
