Upgrade from D3 to D4 by DCC 4x4
I have a D3 that's been converted to look like the D4 by a company called DCC 4x4 who are also site sponsors. Do they provide any after installation guarantees as my D3 has issues with flickering head light, fog lights that don't work and reverse lights that don't work. I believe these are parts they would have upgraded along with some body panels etc. I have the original receipt for the work so just trying to get a heads up before I look like a fool (that's if I have a right to go back and get it rectified) for nearly £4000 I'd like to think they will sort it out.
I'll have to have a proper look at the paperwork this evening to see what was changed and I will also attach a copy from DCC 4x4
Any suggestions are welcome

I'd say depends how long ago it was done,
And if you don't ask you don't get.
No harm in a phone call to find out if they will rectify this as a goodwill gesture.

Was it carried out for you or for a previous owner?
If the latter when did you buy the car, and from whom?

Ive been chatting to a guy named Martin who Im guessing is the boss. I just need to see what the receipt say when I get home. I think there should be a guarantee for a certain time after installation.

I don't have any knowledge of the company but surely everything was working when it left their workshop?

If the headlights flicker and are xenons then the ccf has not been updated, if you remove the driver headlight then you should see two plugs plugged in to the car loom
If you don't have the two car loom plugs the car was not wired for fog lights and they should have fitted a new engine bay loom to get this to work as well as a ccf update of setting.
The reversing lights, in the left rear cubby look for a green/red I think which is the reversing feed, try a meter on it, could be either fuse or reverse switch faulty, or damaged look.

sorry, but I still don't get why you would spend a load of money to make a D3 "Look" like a D4.
when you are inside you cant even see it - so you are spending all that money for someone else to look at it
it doesn't make it a D4 - its just meaningless Bling.Duncan

The chap I bought it from had the work done but that's not the point. If you have that work done from a company that claim to be top spec then things shouldn't go wrong after such a short time.
That company are sponsors of this group so hopefully they can sort things out the right way

You're assuming that the faults were caused by DCC, rather than someone fiddling after the install.
I would give hem a chance before burning your bridges by bad mouthing them in the first instance.06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
Any issues with the site let me know!
Was if a private transaction, or from a dealer with a warranty & when.
Were these faults apparent when you purchased the car, or later?

Like I said I didn't spend the money. I bought the D3 already done up.
I'm not saying somebody didn't fiddle with things after the conversion that way I want to do some research into the faults before I approach the company who did it. If lights did get upgraded and parts weren't installed which causes the flickering then its a bad install.
The guy I bought it off was not technical at all so I don't think it could have been him.

I only noticed the faults a week after we bought the car privately as my wife drives it and I wouldn't notice. I first notice the other day when she reversed and no lights came on and the light flashed randomly when she turn on/off
