Wiggs,
If you don't take up the suggestion to start production, I'd be very grateful if you could you post up the dimensions - particularly of the brackets that fix to the roof.
Whilst I'm not going to go into production either, I would be interested in making one for myself.

Hi Wiggs
I would be interested in drawings to make my own if you decide not to go into production?
Thanks Steve

ok .not saying its perfect or anything ,but it works well for me
15mm box section for the shelf ...bit of mesh ...couple of rivnuts in each side , then some knurled bolts to hold it through the brackets
2mm ali plate for the side brackets , folded and following the contours of the car .
couple of holes drilled and filed for the grab handles
any longer shelf and you will struggle to get it in place (unless you remove the side brackets )G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Please note .. I have a dog guard .. it's not a landrover one , but the 1/2 height type
I made the shelf to fit up to the dog guard ( just a small bit of foam / rubber to stop it touching)G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Picking up a full height LR dog guard later then possibly better to wait until after I get my D3 measure twice cut once the old saying. Plus got to find how much local fabrication company will want to make it. No longer have access to welder
