Urgent - ish help please - electrical connector...

Hi,

I've taken my battery out to charge, however, I've noticed that there was a plug that was not connected in the battery compartment. I can't be sure whether it was not connected before I removed the battery, or whether I knocked it when removing the battery.

It's the plug (which I've reconnected) in the middle of the photo here:

I don't have driving lights or any other auxiliary equipment.

Please can someone tell me urgently if they know what it is, and whether it should be connected or not? Shocked

Many thanks...

John

John, I am not sure, have you tried search though, I am sure this came up before in one of the split charging threads?

lol, that was a result, it comes back now reading the thread about the transit connector.

Your not alone with the battery by the way (our D3 is fine) but I had to get two new tyres on our Alfa this morning to pass MOT and at the tyre/battery place they were doing a roaring in new batteries, clearly -1c was weeding out the marginal batteries from the good ones!
