USA - Land Rover Class Action Suit - Tires |
|
Hate to see it, but LR sorta brought this on their selves by trying to avoid it rather than fixing it.

'Lew Colon' - that's not a real name... is it?
And "It's a noise he sais is being caused by uneven tire wear. To see for ourselves 7 On Your Side used a small stick to measure the tread on various parts of Colon's tire, and compared it with another tire"

Quote:But 6,000 miles later, he noticed the same pattern on his new tire.
Lew Colon: "In the tread design you can truly see it was wearing -- every other one was wearing."
Colon again complained to Land Rover, but 25,000 miles have passed. The company so far hasn't offered to replace the second set
so I would assume he's got 31,000 miles out of the second set, not too bad.

http://www.landroverclassaction.com/ I hate class action lawsuits. This moronic law firm couldn't even find a photo of an LR3 to use on the web site.

Is there any company / organisation that is safe? Just looked under their "View Other Cases" and it reads like a who's who of US Plc (Inc). I see they have a case pending against Intel on behalf of "consumers who purchased Intel-based personal computers.".
Thats some class action.

Where can we buy one of these technological marvels?
Could someone arrange a group buy?

So are these just public outcries by a layer hoping to get enough attention to actually take the case to court and thus earn some cash ?
i.e. a begging letter to owners of product x ?

I try to get around that uneven wear problem by wheeling the D3 every chance I get. Just pick some nice rock piles and keep em moving!
ALR 2005 Tonga Green Land Rover LR3(Yes I wheel it!!!)
2002 Shale Green Jeep WranglerX(Yes I wheel it!!!)
1994 Red Jeep Cherokee (Use it as a spare vehicle)
DO IT! DO IT NOW!!!
