USA September Roadtrips (Vegas, Bonneville, Zion, Moab etc.)
Hello All,
So we had a couple of old mates from Derby come out for a visit. Great excuse to do some traveling - here are a bunch of pictures.
Delta Solar Power Test Site on the way to Vegas - abandoned a few years ago.
Exploring In Arizona
Vegas Baby!
Shelby Museum in Vegas
Janet 737 on take-off roll. Where to ?!?
Then home - jump started a Maserati while getting gas...
And went to see Sabbath
Went to World of Speed at Bonneville
Met the team aiming for the world cycling speed record again - they hit 147.7mph while we were there
'69 Daytona
Then drove south to Moab
Drove down here - Only two passengers were crying, so not too bad a result
View from the bottom
Funny place to see a Bristol!
Just missed an LR rally here but had to leave unfortunately
Home Via Goblin Valley & Capitol Reef
The taking our mates back to Vegas
Piddling down in Zion
But good BBQ made up for it
The day after we left two people were killed by lightning so happy to move on as the weather was terrible.
Odd thing was seeing a Toyota Camry near Zion on UK plates!
Then on to Valley of Fire State Park
Back to Vegas
If you get a chance to eat here - near Fremont Street - do so! Great Bangers & Mash and a super selection of beers.
Got tickets to Garbage - great gig, very sore head the next day.
Batman is in town
Henry Moore sculpture at the Aria
Night Shot on the way home - northern Mojave desert near Mesquite
Kolob Canyon
Say no more
Home to Fall Colors and Snow up top.
Had a great time!
Landy did not miss a beat - one fleeting suspension fault message while hitting the trails in Moab, but it went after re-starting.
Some of these pics have been entered in the calendar competition so don't forget to vote! '80 109 Stage 1 V8 - still going strong!

Black Sabbath were great - our UK mates saw them a few years ago and said this show was way better. Maybe his dalliances have put a spring in his step. '80 109 Stage 1 V8 - still going strong!

Truly awesome pics and a great trip. Garbage & Sabbath! Brilliant!
I have some pics in Moab taken at almost the exact spot as some of yours. Did the same trail (Potash Trail?) climbing up the winding road into Canyonlands National Park in a Jeep Rubicon.
Need to go again, was supposed to go this year but had to cancel. Looking at 2018 now.Back in the game!
Potash Road along Shafer Trail to Shafer Switchbacks - great fun '80 109 Stage 1 V8 - still going strong!
