useless ****ing alarm!

last night some scrote punched my passenger window in to rob the road angel whilst the car was sat under my bedroom window. not a single bleat from the alarm and at 7;00 this morning when discovered the car was still locked with no indication that the alarm had been tripped. i thought it had sensors to detect thsi kind of assault, what is going on!!!!!

NOT good Crying or Very sad

I set my alarm off just to find out what it was like. If it is any consolation, I've heard fighting cats at 500yards make more noise Evil or Very Mad . REAL disappointment in fact.

Only way to know if the alarm went of is the car flashes its indicators 8 times when you go to open it up again.

I reckon I wouldn't actually hear the alarm if I was watching telly in the lounge. The only thing between me and the car is a single wall. Evil or Very Mad

If you pushed the locking button twice you could have turned off the internal ultrasonic sensors.

According to the work shop manual its supposed to trigger the horn - loud - and if battery dead the Battery Backed up Sounder (BBS) - pathetic.

Mine is just the BBS and I'm sure those posted so far are the same.

It is configurable in Test Book so I am for one going to ask my dealer to do this for and then prove its set.

My alarm went off one night and only new cause the indicators flashed like mad thing when I unlocked the D3... flash trigger thank god.

Cheers

And what would you have done if the car alarm had gone off?

One night when i was up late working 3am (insomniac here im afraid) on the computer in my little understair cupboard / study. I heard the alarm of my M3 go off.

I picked up the keys opened the back door, onto the drive, and was greeted by 4 blokes on with removing the last wheel of the car.

"don't f**king move, were almost done" then some obsence hushed ranting about not calling the police....knowing where i lived...blah...blah

Yes they are low life scrotes but its only a car, we have insurance, at least it was your car they broke into and not your house. Thats the way i look at things.

good point phil Confused but at least I would know the car was under attack and could call the police from inside the house.

Most thieves are chancers and the alarm would them off... your 'new friends' obviously were pretty proficient at nicking things.

Did they get past the locking wheel nuts are were none fitted ?
