Using "independants" for servicing

I have "56" HSE so it's still under warranty

It's due it's second service and I don't want to use the main agent locally (Stratsones Newport Pagnell)

Does using an independant garage, not franchised or formally linked to land rover affect the warranty?

I believe that as long as they use land rover parts and are VAT registered it shouldn't affect it.

They are 4x4 specialists and 99% of their work is on land rovers and I've used them for years.

What do you think?

Although if you try to get anything done by LR on a good will basis after warranty they will refuse if you haven't got a full LR service history. I learnt that the hard way Big Cry Previously:
