V5 question for the 2012 model....

Are the 2012 models still referred to as being "Discovery 3"'s on the V5 documentation? In other words still classed by Land Rover as L319's?

The V5 for my 2010 D4 just says Land Rover Discovery, no mention of D3 or D4 - neither does the V5 for my 2006 D3

Got the car today Mr. Green Mr. Green Mr. Green .

But of course no V5 until they send it to me.

BUT the confirmation doc from the dealer on behalf of DVLA clearly states "Discovery 4 SDV6 HSE"- so will interesting to see EXACTLY what come on the V5. Will keep you posted.

Incidently LR Insurance where the ONLY ones to have SDVG 255 BHP on their underwriting books. No-one else had it -some had 245 BHP SDV6 some still only TDV6 which is hopeless.

I did some digging around last year and the database is a British Insurers database rather than an individual company. I think they amended it to now recognise the SDV6 designation because it was available when I did my renewal a few weeks ago, although HSBC premier didn't have it on their internal list and needed to update it - they didn't ring back so I went elsewhere. I still have the V5 saying TDV6 and the badge says SDV6 (technically I suppose it's an STD but I guess they didn't want to go there).

Got my V5 today - quick for DVLA it was only registered on 13 September Shocked

It is listed as "DISCOVERY HSE SDV6 AUTO" ; Gross weight 3240 KG; Cap 2993cc; CO2 230 G/KM; Mass in service 2650 KG.

So they have got it right for the 212 MY I think
