A good working average would be ~27mpg. Mine is min 11mpg, max 36mpg, average 26.79mpg over 156k maps. Most cruising at 60mph on Mways. Careful drawing conclusions from any one off, as above my best figures are way, way off any long term average.

26-28 I think is considered normal. I am also sceptical of any claims for mpg in excess of LRs extra urban of 23 in normal driving and real calculations. In my quite a few years of driving I have found if you achieve the combined figure then you are doing well, up to the extra urban can be achieved on a run and taking it easy, anything more and you are probably going downhill with the wind behind you Laughing

As an example the wife's Juke has a combined mpg of 70, reality in mixed driving mostly in eco mode we are averaging just over 57.

Regularly exceed that figure in our PHEV! Currently at 9800miles at an 180mpg average.

BMW average MPG figures are a joke. Never got anywhere near them.

I will take mine on a run to Wales this weekend. Circa 180miles one way . My average on the lieometer will be around 23.5 on the way out. Coming back I can just about hit 25mpg on the computer (downhill on the way back!).

A fast trip down the M27 the other day and I was at 18mpg (not saying the speed).

Something is definitely wrong with his engine that's the worst mpg I have ever seen.
