In LAKV8's pics is it just me or does it seem wayyyyy too low to the ground? or is it photographed set in access mode?

Er.... Whistle Wink

One example is the "rolling stop" adaptive gearbox response.

In this thread...

Has the battery been disconnected recently?

I noticed that after mine had been in for it's 'aesthetic enhancement' during which the battery must have been disconnected, it showed slight signs of this.

Subsequently the auto-box has re-learned my style and all was ok again after 3 days.

I also seem to remember that the yaw of the vehicle is dampened proactively but that could just be the beer talking... Laughing

Put it in neutral and see if it coasts or slows. This will tell you if it is transmission or brakes tyres. Are the tyres the same diameter as the OEMs?

Woww thanks for all the responses guys. Great site this Thumbs Up

I do drive it like a lunatic in the lower gears, i cant help it. This car isnt that fast on paper but it feels extremely quick. This could be why its adapting and staying in the lower gears. BUT Even if it was it shouldn't feel as sluggish as it does. I mean engine braking has increased and acceleration speeds seem to have decreased. Its not as responsive as it was two days ago.

The breaks have been squeeking alot for the past week so it could be that the breaks are binding. If they are how would i fix this??

As soon as i get up il take her out for a spin and il shift it into 4th and fifth to see if it still happens.

What did you have before hand? Something small/sporty maybe?
If so then your probably comparing the feel of your previous vehicle to the D3 which is not comparable.

I had an audi tt 225 then i drove a diesel van for a bit and now this. Audi was alot of fun Very Happy

Jonty, thats exactly how it feels as though the handbrake is still on. You say that this is a common problem. Has anyone experienced this. Also my D3 is still under warranty for another year, will it cover a fault like this ???

thanks

Maybe just accept it, LAKV8. Keep your foot off the gas, save money on fuel, drive slowly like the car wants to, reduce the effect of the harsh ride because you've not got enough rubber between wheel and road.

Just wind down the windows and crooze the streets, enjoying da bling. Thumbs Up

... and plan your next upgrade. How about upgrading da speakers?

HAHAHAAH those speakers look wicked! ha

Ive got an HSE V8 Very Happy equipped with premium sound system and i must say its simply fantastic. Just the right amount of everything if you know what i mean. Doesnt need upgrading

I think you'll find its probably just engine torque. Not being an X5, Q7 etc etc, its been designed to have high torque low down in the rev range in order to drive off road more effectively.

Only way round it would be a re-map.

PM 10forcash you can do a custom map based on the profile of your engine (or something like that). Will give you the oomph you want Smile

how do i get in touch with PM10forcash ??

thanks simon
