Venables (again)
Recalled to prison for the second time.
Should never have been let out once, let alone twice
Wonder how the liberal, bleeding hearts, will justify it this time round.....

^ Probably because it's more cost efficient than dealing with the inevitable murder case that would ensue if he didn't have it.2006 D3 HSE (Original & still the best)-GONE

Sound like the system is actually working. The one who seemingly cannot move from his horrendous ways or be trusted to rejoin society is safely behind bars, whilst the other one continues to meet the requirements of his license.
I understand Venables’ recent behaviour was caught by the probation service, so his recall is down to the professionalism of some rather underpaid public sector workers.
In the scheme of things this is a good result from those we have to trust.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

Well you almost attempted to justify it
However it was, in your opinion, managed and 'evidence' that 'the process is working' should never have needed to be tested as the should never have been out on the streets at all.......
You also miss the point that he had to commit more criminal activity of an abhorrent nature (more victims!)

In our system we rarely throw away the key, even with adult perpetrators and we tend to look at child criminals in a different light. But a life on licence is exactly that, with monitoring and the threat of recall.
There has to be hope of rehabilitation, especially for those who commit crime before adult maturity. But the state will act when those on licence become a potential danger.
All hope of meaningful recovery for Venables appears to be lost as he appears to be a continuing threat, even in his adult years. Perhaps there is more hope for Thompson but only time will tell.Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948
