Turns out, it was the rear prop shaft. Makes you really paranoid, an un-diagnosed un-related e-diff problem uncovered during the hunt.
How many un-diagnosed build problems are there, to come out later to bite you, even after the warranty period?
Back to the old LandRover reputation. .

Glad you got it sorted. I try not to think about bits that may or may not fall off, especially since we're planning WA in July.
