Violets Lane - Furneux Pelham
Laning in Hertfordshire and Essex tomorrow in my D1 and we will be doing the longest ford in Britain - Violets Lane, Furneux Pelham.
One of the others who will be going sent me this UTube link and whilst watching it I thought to myself I think recognise one of the motors in it! click

Will do - I haven't done Violets Lane before but the last time our Group did it they fell foul of some wheel rims at the midway point .
Nicely shot video Steve

If you're stopping for lunch, I can recommend this place, just done up, great food and about 2 miles from Furneux Pelham

A great video!
You shouldn't meet too many ramblers either

May well give the Catherine Wheel a visit if we're nearby at lunchtime. Thanks for the recommendation. Will create it as a memory point on the sat nav anyway.
Violet Lane certainly looks as if it could be 'a rambler free zone' for much of the year!!
Cheers all.

Mine's screwed to a HD front bumper so hopefully will stay put but I'll mention it to the others.
Thanks for the advice

Superb vid
Now can that be done easily with side steps? Did you have snorkels or not?
Cheers

No raised intake required. Wouldn't like to try it with steps on though. Bit of bramble rash gained at the southern end too.Disco 5 HSE Lux
