I bought one to use in my D3 that covers the whole load space area and I put the heavy duty rubber load space mats over the top of it when I am carrying my work tools around. Cheers,

I use Boot buddy, which has a configuration that covers the rear load area (behind the middle row seats) and has a sliding inner section that allows you to cover the whole load area up to front seats if you need it. There’s also a fold up cover that tucks under to cover the tailgate when down. It’s tailored to specific cars.
Very tough ( 8 years regular use of loads of various kinds including logs and dogs). Covers sides too, so doors protected when extended. Not cheap, but easily transforms meaning no clipping/unclipping from car. Various extras to go with it also available (rubber mats etc)
