[Wanted] Disco 3 Diesel Engine for 2006 2.7 Required

Evening all,

Just received notice from my mechanic to tell me one of my pistons has picked up and seized in the bore and the rod has snapped and put a hole in the engine block. The only route for me to go is to fit another engine hence this post.

Anyone know where I can source a 2.7 Disco 3 engine from ASAP?

Looking to put a 2004 I have just purchased through the MOT, if it fails I will scrap.

By definition it is a bit of a shed. I bought it for parts to use on a project car......that got sold before I had chance to buy it. 2.7L with manual and 148k miles any interest? D3 2.7 Zermatt silver (not another one)
D3 4.4 V8 Zambezi silver
D3 4.4 V8 Adriatic Blue
D3 2.7 (gone) Tonga Green

Thanks for your response. Mine is an Auto so not sure if it will be compatible, I will have to check.

Let me know how the Mot goes and if I’m still struggling to find one I will speak with my mechanic.

Unfortunately the D4 engine won’t fit into the D3 however my mechanic may need the D4 engine for another replacement he has planned in. Can you please PM me with the details so that I can pass them to my mechanic?
