Just buy a Ford one they are better and cheaper - its for the focus and Galaxy/Smax from memory. solder the two wires onto the loom thats there after cutting off the failed one as near to the switch end as possible and you can do it in situ without removing the rear handle from the car - 10 minute job. Thumbs Up

Forgot to add if you take off the rear handle you are in for a world of pain as the captive nuts overmolded into the handle will strip from the handle moulding leaving you with a pain of a job to separate them from the screws through the tailgate

Thanks for the tips guys, had already taken the whole handle assembly off anyway as I wanted to see how it was made up should I get similar issues in future, was a PITA! Smile

Will check out the ford part, funnily enough mine actually has both ford and LR stamped in the back.

I had the same issue..

Bought this one last week

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/174195073565

Made it a little more water resistant with sika291 where the wires go in, but otherwise, plug&play

Quite logic, you will find more ford or FoMoCo. stamped parts in your LR.. jag / LR was/is owned by Ford...
