I have Luxury Care and a quick call to WD confirms that the £999 asked by Stratstone to replace the lower front arms and laser alignment is covered by the policy....happy days are here again!!!!

My cover of any kind finishes at the end of Aug so will be wandering the wilderness alone after that.
Still not bad considering she'll be 10 1/4 with 150k on the clock.

Any W&T you need to wait 90days.
In my experience they will argue that any claim at all is wear and tear in the first 90 days to get out of paying up. I have a phone call recording of them speaking to a LR Tech to prove that they lie about this. If you do decide to go with WD I'd be wary about claiming anything with them in the first 90 days.
Personally, I won't be renewing with them, I think they're a bunch of cowboys.

Wear and tear in 90 days excluded is only fair, in contrast they replaced my alternator about 5 weeks in with no quibble

I think it's a fair exclusion; what I don't think is fair is them being deceitful to claim that LR told them a sudden physical failure of something is due to wear and tear when they in fact said the opposite, and I have a recording of this to prove it. They aren't interested. That's my point, IMHO I'd try and hold out until 90 days before claiming anything if I had my time again, if they're using this tactic.D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

If you take a WD policy when your LR warranty expires, the wear and tear 90 day exclusion doesn't apply.MY16 D4 Graphite in Loire Blue

Do you know if this is documented anywhere? I went from LR to WD and they applied a 90 day wear and tear exclusion.

"If you take out one of our policies immediately before the manufacturer's original new car warranty expires your wear & tear protection will start from day one - otherwise your vehicle's wear & tear cover will start after the first 90 days."
WD wear and tear cover is for failure caused by wear and tear, so you may have trouble getting worn but not-yet-failed items replaced.MY16 D4 Graphite in Loire Blue
