Since we came back from France in August my D3 developed the dreaded judders and the revs started surging at certain speeds. Following appraisal by Jamesons in Birmingham I called Warranty Direct to let them know that the torque converter was on its way out. WD had the car picked up on the 19th of last month and taken to one of their approved transmissions specialists who examined the gearbox and confirmed that it was indeed the TC.
Thankfully, WD approved the claim so the garage stripped and rebuilt the transmission with the new TC and the car was returned back to me yesterday afternoon along with a copy of the invoice the garage submitted to WD for £2,319
I've paid around £1,700 in WD premiums since I bought the car in July '13 and now had around £3,200 worth of work done under warranty...happy days. Previously owned an '08 D3 HSE in Stornoway grey but jumped ship to see what the Swedes have to offer.
