Warranty Direct "Refer a friend" £75 e-voucher

Hi,
I have just taken out a Warranty Direct policy using the "Refer a Friend" details from a member on here Thumbs Up

I get £25 as a new policy and he will get £50 as referring Thumbs Up

If anyone is going to take out a new policy get in touch and I can "Refer" you Bow down Thumbs Up

All done by PM as details to share are Name & Policy number.

There are a few points to follow, their website says to Phone in when you take out the policy and give the details to them by phone,
I did an on-line quote to get the prices then closed the web page and within minutes they were phoning me to see if I wanted to still go ahead with a policy, which I did Smile

You both have to have had your policy running for a Month before the voucher is given.

But they also said you can just give us a call after a month and quote the details of who "Referred" you and they will arrange the voucher Question

so if anyone has taken Out a policy in the last month. get in touch (PM) and we can see if that works as well Whistle

Thumbs Up

I am just about to sort this out... would you like to refer me?!

I have prepared an online quote and have ticked all options other than multimedia.

WD must have changed their policy recently. My car is still under the LR service plan so was in yesterday for a service and MOT, got a phone call to say that the propshaft centre bearing was split so a new propshaft was required at £705.

I told the service department that I had a warranty with WD and she asked me for their phone number. I never heard any more until I got a phone call asking me to pay £54 for the MOT and they would deliver the car back to me. Shocked

It used to be that you had to pay for the repairs yourself and then claim back from WD unless you used one of their 'approved' garages which were certainly never LR dealerships.

If you have the uncapped hourly rate box ticked then most LR dealers are in their network (with the exception of Guy Salmon Northampton it would seem) The exceptions are ( I would assume) on the basis that you wouldn't even wish your worst enemy a visit there

I had a WD warranty on my D3 as well, and LR dealers certainly weren't on their approved network of garages then. I have always had the uncapped labour rates and the last big job that I had done on my D3 was a replacement turbo which cost £2000 + in 2016 and I had to pay the dealership myself and claim the money back from WD.

I only took this WD warranty out last September when my D4 came out of manufacturers warranty, so it was a very welcome surprise not to be asked to pay upfront as in previous years Thumbs Up I also chose not to pay any excess, nor pay any contribution towards parts, so it cost me nothing at all.

Another Thumbs Up for WD Warranties.
