I personally wouldn’t be worried about dealer services history on an older vehicle. In fact, as said above, I would prefer a specialist history, with invoices to prove what’s been done. But dealer with invoices should also be ok. I personally wouldn’t just rely on stamps in a book though!
On a 2012, you want to be sure that the belts have been changed and see an invoice for that, not just a stamp in the book. Should have been done at the 7 year service, regardless of mileage. There is a schedule on this site you can download to see what should be done, and when.
I also think any warranty on a 10 year old car is going to be limited, so I wouldn’t expect too much if you’re just taking it out. I think it’s about 6k for a good reconditioned 3.0 these days.
My warranty is just coming to an end, and I’m fairly sure I can’t extend any more. I had it from before 60k, which is why I could extend right up to 130k, but don’t think I would have a chance trying to take one out now, or in the last year or so!
