Watching 5th Gear - We NEED TG!! |
|
First impresions count......
I'm sitting watching the new series of 5th Gear right now, and it is so riviting that I have drawn myself away to blog here
For anyone who has missed this - don't worry. Here s a summary:
They have been evicted from their 'office' environment and now transmit from a cafe. Any normal cafe would see punters waving at camera and getting involved in the script. But not here. Nobody interested. Wonder why?
Vicky has a new co-presenter who hasn't been introduced. But who cares? They only want to talk about deifying 'The Tiff'. Vicky looks like a schoolgirl with a crush on a teacher.
Tiff is going to race an airborne stunt plane . Never seen that before have we...........
Interview with a politician............
Racing a mini against a toy (RC) car............
Vicky has impressed herself with her driving skills............
However, she has still been beaten by the RC car..........
There is going to be a 'competition' for numpties to answer a silly question by phoning a premium rate number to win something thats been thrashed.
Here it is...... What does GP stand for in the motor racing world?
Grand Prix
Grid Position
Great Prize
End of part 2 and we still haven't seen anything like a car programme
AND THE BBC WANT TO POSTPONE TOP GEAR.......
I'm off to live on a moon of Jupiter

I have a plan..........
2 crash test dummies (used), a Scalextric set and a Sony Handi-Cam.......
Instant improvement over 5th gear
Perhaps Channel 5 will pay me £5 for this idea?
Oliver77 - is there a spare armchair in your house so I can come round and watch your foot.
Even SWMBO has just uttered "I'm loosing the will to live" as she has grabbed the remote control.

Thank f k........ It's finished
End of the show and a voice-over tells us that everybody at 5th Gear wish all the best to the Hamster.........
Best part of the programme and we all echo that. I wonder how often the team at 5th Gear wish for their demise so sincerely.

I think Jason saw the light........
As for Tiff, he's a fine chap and a good driver - spoiled only by a camera, an audience and the fact that he increasingly believes his own press.

Just found a new use (and a new name) for the Mantec Front Protection Plate.........
Mantec 5th Gear Protection Plate
Soon, 25 people will be able to mount this in front of their TV screen for an hour during 5th Gear.

VBH adds some interest, the last time I saw it was the RRS review, it couldn't beat a horse around a wet grass sloping field with fences in it, so it wasn't any good DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone
