Yeah, but to show how tough the D2 is, we dried out the computer, and she started fine, and we went on to finish our trip. Good thing too, 'cos we were in the middle of nowhere.

The D3 in does seem to benefit from the position of the air intake.

Today I encountered a big flood in a nearby city while trying to get home on a road I travel almost daily, so was familiar with the lie of the land. It had already claimed 2 victims - a big van and there was some little clio or similar abandoned in the middle with water up half its bonnet.

So decided to go for it, and keeping an eye out the window at the water level proceded in. Had about 6 -8 inches to spare, but noticed how the water level was higher at the front compared to at the intake. The little car was actually floating I realised afterwards!

Was quite impressed. Found another similar flood on a road near my house, which it handled with ease.

Was my first time wading with the D3, other than at The Home of the Legend off road course.

As for the floods. I've never seen floods like this ever before - amazing the amount of rain that fell here today!

I think my avatar pic demonstrates your observation! I drove from Glasgow back to Stockport today, and the rain was intense all the way.
