Water leak fixed.....hopefully

Found my drivers footwell rather wet, cleaned the sun roof drains but and tested by pouring water in them,so my next step order new A pillar trim clips cos they are bound to break, took the pillars off and the sponge at the bottom absolutely soaked, removed the bottom peg and taped over the hole

Hi

Did this work?
I've got passenger side water ingress into footwell.

I've tested sunroof drain its not that. I lifted the cover at edge of windscreen and pulled the sodden sponge out, are you saying that this can be cause of leak into footwell?

Thanks

That's it. Pull the trim off discard the sponge and replace damaged clips. Tape over the hole and you're done. There is a LR repair kit but it's not necessary. If your A pillar trim is wet at the very top or the headlining it's likely to be the roof rail seam sealant that has failed.

If you search there's plenty covering both the "A" pillar leak and the roof rail seam. Thumbs Up
