Waxing upto black plastic |
|
Just took delivery of my D4 and want to get a good few layers of autoglym resin on it while its still clean, i had a go the other day and its a pain trying to polish upto the black plastic on the doors and round the bumpers
Has anyone got any tips about polishing upto and round the plastic trim to stop it turning white and looking horrific, without spending hours praying on my hands and knees! My first idea was masking tape, then a thin piece of cardboard strategically placed......but just think it might be a bit of a faff

Get some blue 3m tape and tape up, also just do a couple of coats of SRP then go for the Extra Gloss Protection on top or have a look at Zaino, looks fantastic on black

Get some decent carnauba wax instead of the Autoglymm polish? That will protect the paint, give a cracking shine and not leave any junk on the plastic.
